FACILITIES

For a small campsite, River Valley is stacked with first-class facilities. However, what you won't find is a gaudy clubhouse or onsite takeaway – the focus here is on kicking back in a more natural camping ambience. So when you're not out discovering the sandy beaches, fairytale woodland and Cornwall's many attractions, here's what you will find back at base:

A heated indoor swimming pool

Come rain or shine you can take a dip in our good-sized pool, and on sunnier days you can chill out on the sun loungers on the poolside patio.

Bike hire and cycle trails

We rent bikes onsite, so you can pedal straight off along the easy off-road cycle trail to the nearest beach (just 2.5 miles). The level riverside and valley trail leads to the coastal village of Pentewan, Mevagissey and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. And that's not all; head the other way (via some road) and you can access the clay trails and freewheel all the way to the Eden Project.

Walking trails

Set off on foot along buggy-friendly walking trails through the neighbouring woods and to the coast.

Pet's Paddock

Meet the chickens and our cute Kunekune pigs – Cinnamon and Nutmeg

Outdoor Play Area

Take time out to relax while the children run wild in the play area. There's a zip slide, climbing frames, swings and an area for smaller children to play.

Games room

Rain doesn't have to stop play. Although our games room isn't a huge zone of noise and flashing lights, there is pool table and a few arcade games to entertain the children.

Internet room

If you need to keep in touch with the outside world or do some internet research, we offer a wireless internet connection.

Laundry room

Our laundry room is kitted out with washers, driers, irons and ironing boards, and even a library of books.

Heated toilet/shower block, family bathroom, disabled wet-room

Campers can enjoy warm, immaculate facilities, with the homely additions of fresh flowers, piped music, no limits to the amount of hot water available and a family bathroom with a bath.

Shop

There is a small local shop at the entrance to the site, making it easy to get your hands on a pint of milk, newspaper and basic groceries.
